Live the life of a yogi for 28 days

The Living Yoga Training (LYT) program helps you deepen your practice in the supportive Ashram environment. You will be guided by instructors who have devoted their lives to learning and imparting the wisdom of Yoga as taught by Sri Swami Satchidananda.  Swami Satchidananda is the founder of Integral Yoga and one of the most revered Yoga masters of our time.

If you are pursuing your spiritual growth, this program can be a life-transforming experience adding significantly to your ability to balance your life, health and happiness.

The LYT program combines spiritual studies, Hatha Yoga, and selfless service.

Typical Schedule

(may vary depending on Ashram activities)

5 – 6:15 am Meditation
6:20 – 7:50 am Hatha Yoga class
8 – 8:30 am Breakfast
8:30 – 11:45 am Morning service or free time
12 – 12:30 pm Silent Meditation
12:45 – 1:30 pm Lunch
1:30 – 4:45 pm Afternoon service or free time
5 – 6:30 pm Hatha Yoga/Meditation
6:30 – 7:30 pm Dinner
7:30 – 9 pm Classes, service, or free time

The Living Yoga Training (LYT) program is for seekers  who are enjoying their spiritual journey and want to live  Yoga on and off the mat.

28 days of the LYT program is a serious commitment by you and by us. We have a screening process designed to ensure that only people involved in a conscious spiritual quest are admitted to the program.

The LYT program is not an 200-hour Integral Yoga Teacher Training program. You can earn 16 contact hours with Yoga Alliance (YA)

We study and practice the following Yogic approaches:

Hatha Yoga

Asana (postures), pranayama (breath control), and deep relaxation.

Raja Yoga

Balance and control of the mind through ethical practices and meditation.

Karma Yoga

Action through selfless service without attachment to the results of the action.

Jnana Yoga

The path of knowledge and self-inquiry. 

Japa Yoga

Repetition of a mantram (a sound structure of one or more syllables which represents a particular aspect of the Divine Vibration).

Bhakti Yoga

The path of loving devotion, through chanting, ritual, and service

Dress Code & What to Bring

Guests and residents are required to dress modestly.

  • Clean and simple rooms that accommodate up to three people.
  • Centrally heated and air-conditioned dormitories.
  • No single rooms are available.
  • Camping is available from March 15th to December 1st.
    Please bring your own tent and gear (limited supply is available)
  • Children and pets are not allowed during the program.



  • 3 organic vegetarian meals per day: no meat, poultry, fish, eggs.
  • Vegan and gluten-free options are available.
  • Food may contain traces of gluten, peanuts, and other allergens.
  • Some of our produce is grown on the Organic Yogaville Farm
