Meditation Teacher Training In India
with Swami Ramananda, E-RYT 500, C-IAYT and Ram Wiener, E-RYT 500
January 10 - 24, 2027
Travel to the birthplace of Yoga and earn your certification as an Integral Yoga Meditation Teacher.
In the motherland of Sri Swami Satchidananda, you will train with our Integral Yoga instructors in an intimate classroom setting. This two week immersion will gift you with the knowledge on how to deepen your own meditation practice and guide others in establishing a practice of their own.
The Integral Yoga Meditation Teacher Training program is designed to help you deepen your own practice while gaining the tools to guide your students to go deeper in theirs. You will receive instruction in both the theory and techniques of meditation, including mantra, visualization, breath awareness, witnessing, and prayer. You will also study Yogic breathing practices and learn how to refine and develop them to support meditation.
In addition, you’ll explore practical ways to integrate meditation into daily life and into the Yoga classes you teach. By the end of the training, you will have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to lead meditation workshops and offer a six-week meditation course. This training also offers a unique opportunity to experience the rich culture of South India.
Program Dates:
The program begins on January 10, 2027, starting with orientation at 4 p.m. and ends at 9 a.m. on January 24, 2027.
Why a Residential Program?
The most effective teaching comes from direct experience. Our residential programs are designed to offer you the experience of living the teaching of Yoga and meditation and to present the necessary tools that will enable you to pass these great teachings to others. During your stay, you will immerse yourself in the yogic lifestyle and transform your body, mind and spirit. Our residential programs offer a supportive and nurturing environment for practice and study from the distractions of everyday life.
Daily Schedule:
The daily schedule is very full; it is designed to help you fully realize the benefits of the meditation practice and provide the optimum environment for studying, practicing, and learning. Each day begins with meditation at 6 a.m. followed by a Hatha Yoga class.
During the day, you will have training courses, workshops, practice sessions, noon meditation, and some free time. You are expected to stay at the IYI for the entire time to successfully complete the program. Attendance is required for all sessions – from the program orientation on the first day through the coursework on the last day. This includes all morning and afternoon practices of Meditation and Hatha Yoga.
