Vera Oyé Yaa-Anna, Storyteller/Nutrition Educator, affectionately known as Auntie Oyé, is a Liberian-born acclaimed master storyteller who transports her audience to West Africa through “imaginary” interactive storytelling. She is the Executive Director of Oyé Palaver Hut, an established cultural arts organization that integrates storytelling performance with culinary art to focus on physical and emotional wellness. An energetic cultural educator, Vera’s performances are designed to celebrate diversity. She tours nationally and internationally, presenting her dynamic programs, and she is a five-time DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities Fellowship Program recipient.
