Dress Guidelines

As a place of spiritual practice, everyone is requested to wear clean and modest clothing at the Ashram.
Thank you for helping to maintain a yogic environment at the Ashram.

Please wear:

  • Shorts or skirts close to the knees.
  • Tops close to the knees covering tights or leggings.
  • Wraps to cover shoulders and knees at Ashram sacred venues.
  • White or dressier clothing at Satsang and special programs.

Please refrain from wearing:

  • Footwear in Ashram buildings except in lobbies. (Footwear designated for indoor use only is okay.)
  • Torn clothing or clothing with holes.
  • Low-cut or revealing tops, halters, or crop tops.
  • Perfumes or essential oils.

What to bring:

  • Toiletries
  • Slip-on shoes (shoes are not worn indoors)
  • Water bottle (we no longer provide single-use cups)
  • Photo ID (Drivers Licence or Passport) to show upon Arrival at check-in.
  • For Farm or Ground Karma Yoga Service, please bring sturdy shoes and water bottles

Other Items:

  • Yoga mat and personal props
  • Yoga mats and props are provided in each of our classrooms
  • Notebook & pen
  • Summer: bathing suit (no bikinis)
  • White clothing for Satsang (optional)
  • Sunglasses
  • Flashlight / Headlamp
  • Insect repellent
  • Sunscreen
  • Hat
  • Beach towel
  • Hair Dryer
