Applicants should be aware that the training is both academically and physically rigorous, consisting of a full daily schedule of both practice and theory.
COVID POLICY
All participants are encouraged to provide proof of a negative antigen COVID-19 test (PCR tests are still accepted) taken on one of the 3 days before your arrival day. Please submit a copy or photo of your test results through this form prior to arrival. If the test is positive we will reschedule your visit for another time. ACCOMMODATIONS
Accommodations are complimentary and will be booked on a first-come-first served basis. Choices vary and include dorm, private room with shared bath, and private room with private bath.
If you choose dorm accommodation, you will board in our modern dormitory, Vivekananda Vihar, conveniently located near classrooms and the meditation and dining halls. Men and women are housed separately. We have rooms that accommodate up to six people. Generally, we are able to arrange accommodations so that the smaller rooms house two or three people and the larger rooms house four or five people.
Please keep in mind that private rooms are limited. If a private room is your accommodation choice, we recommend securing your reservation by applying early, especially during the summer season.
DISCOUNTS
Depending on the Teacher Training we offer various discounts.
Not all discounts apply to all Teacher Trainings.
- International – 10% – For those living outside the US Full-time
- Senior Citizen 10% – 65+
- Student Discount 10% – Enrolled full-time in a Graduate or Undergraduate Program
- Service members and Veterans 10% – US Active and Retired Service Men and Woment. Does not apply to Spouses or Family Members
- IYTA member 10%
- LYT Living Yoga Training Graduates – 10% off Tuition Only (Applies to Integral Yoga Teacher Trainings only, Valid for up to 3 yrs after completion of the LYT Program)
NOTES:
- There is a 20% discount limit per application.
- An Early Bird discount of $100 is offered if payment is made in full at least 3 months before the Trainings start date.
- If you are employed by an Integral Yoga Institute, please check with your IYI manager for details regarding a discount for this program.
- For Yoga of the Heart®, IYTA Discount is the only one available
- For our India Trainings no discounts except our Early Bird discount are offered
FINANCIAL AID and EQUITY SCHOLARSHIP
Limited partial scholarships are available for students who can demonstrate financial need and/or identify as BIPOC, and/or LBGTQ+, and/or a person with a disability. Those wanting aid must submit a scholarship application with the training application. Please contact the Teacher Training Administrator for further details and a scholarship application.
LATE REGISTRATION
In order for your application to be considered, please submit no later than 1 month before, with full payment enclosed. After this date, please check with Teacher Training Administration for availability before applying.
PAYMENTS
A $100.00 non-refundable application fee is due upon submission of your application. A $400* deposit is due within 1 week of acceptance. Final payment is due no later than 2 weeks before the start of the Training. To receive the Early bird discount, payment is due in full 3 months before the start of the Training.
Upon acceptance, a $400* deposit is required to secure your space, due within one week of acceptance.
***For 200-hour Teacher Trainings the deposit amount is $600 due within 1 week of acceptance
CANCELLATIONS
If you cancel 45 days or more prior to the first day of the training, you will receive a refund less $150. If you cancel between 30 and 45 days prior to the first day, you will receive a refund less $300. If you cancel less than 30 days prior to the start date, you will receive a refund less $500.
You may transfer the amount paid (less a $25 transfer fee) to another program within a 12-month period.
No refund will be given after the start of the program.
Please confirm with the Ashram that your Program or Teacher Training is going ahead before purchasing flight and other travel tickets. The Ashram will not be responsible to reimburse travel tickets if the Ashram needs to cancel a Program or Teacher Training due to low enrolment or other unforeseen situations.
ASHRAM LIFESTYLE POLICY
Please be aware that Satchidananda Ashram-Yogaville requests that you refrain from consuming alcohol, tobacco products, illegal drugs, meat, fish or eggs, while staying with us. We have a strict No Smoking Policy. If smoking does occur in any of our accommodations, there will be a $250 charge for cleaning the room. If found not adhering to these guidelines, you may be asked to leave the premises.
TRANSPORTATION
If you are arriving into Charlottesville by Train Station, bus station, or airport, we ask that you take an Uber or Lyft to Yogaville. We are unable to provide pick-up service. We do provide a shuttle from Yogaville to Charlottesville leaving at 12 pm on Sundays only.
Transportation Cancellation Policy:
- TRANSPORTATION CHARGES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE if the request is cancelled with less than 48 hours notice.
- A FULL REFUND will be issued if the cancellation is at least 72 hours in advance.
- A CANCELLATION FEE of $10 will apply if cancellation is less than 72 hours in advance but more than 48 hours notice.
We request at least 1 weeks notice for all Transportation Services.

By participating in yoga classes and all other programs and events at Satchidananda Ashram – Yogaville Inc I agree that the said Satchidananda Ashram – Yogaville Inc is in no way responsible for the safekeeping of my personal belongings. I also agree to assume full responsibility for any injuries which might occur to me and agree that neither I, my heirs, assigns or legal representatives will sue or make any other claims of any kind whatsoever against Satchidananda Ashram – Yogaville Inc for any personal injury or other loss or damage which may occur on its premises.
