Summer Silent Retreat: Finding Peace and Contentment in Daily Life
with Raama Das Bell with Senior Staff
June 20 - 23, 2019
Through the many challenges that day-to-day life presents, it can be difficult to remain peaceful and contented in every moment. Join other like-minded seekers to go within and find serenity in daily life during the Summer Silent Retreat.
Peace is within us at any given moment—we have only to tap into it. By cultivating stillness and freeing the mind of disturbances, the ever-contented Self is revealed.
Through silence, yogic practices, and yogic philosophy, you will have the opportunity to access your inner peace and joy, love and light. Learn how to develop santosha (contentment) to experience sincere acceptance and satisfaction in your life. Receive guidance on how to break free of mental cycles of negativity and feel the joy that comes with acceptance of what is.
During the retreat, enjoy:
- Silence in a tranquil, ashram environment
- Daily practices in Hatha Yoga, meditation, and pranayama (yogic breathing)
- Delicious, organic, vegetarian meals from the Yogaville Kitchen
- Inspiring classes in yogic teachings led by Integral Yoga senior practitioners, ministers, and swamis (monastics)
- Unwind, rejuvenate, and reconnect with your deeper Self during one of Yogaville’s annual silent retreats.
What to expect
For over 30 years the Integral Yoga silent retreats have been offering participants a safe, supportive space to focus on their spiritual practice. Surrounded by a serene woodland landscape, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in silence while seasoned teachers offer experiential workshops and classes in Yoga philosophy, meditation, deep relaxation, and more.
Private mentoring is available. You may also seek support or clarification during the retreat by asking written questions.
Who can attend
These retreats are open to everyone—from beginners to advanced Yoga retreatants. Those who are new to meditation or Yoga practices will receive full instruction, while those with experience will have the opportunity to explore more deeply.
[The retreat] was well-planned for a group of participants with varying backgrounds and familiarity with yogic teachings and Integral Yoga.
I was totally blown away by the depth and breadth of knowledge coupled with presentation skills.
The material was presented clearly and completely in a way that allowed me to come in as a beginner to much of it and receive a good foundation.
I learned more here than anywhere else and being completely new, I now feel part of a great community of people.
