It was my first visit to Yogaville and I felt like I was really wanted there. Everyone was welcoming and happy to see every one of us. They were genuinely happy to have us visit. The Swamis were so open and spoke to anyone who approached them. We were asked to join in for Kirtan at Amma’s home. It was just so incredible to have everyone open their doors and arms to us. Most of all, as an Indian I am very wary of such places but I did not feel like it was a caricature or appropriation of my culture, nothing where I rolled my eyes or SMH. It was honest, heartfelt and respectful representation of an organization that exists to serve and spread the love of Gurudev as their primary focus. I was so humbled and honored to be there. I will definitely return many many times.
