During this online series, you will have the opportunity to learn all about the health and wellness benefits of a Yogic lifestyle from Dr. Amrita McLanahan. For twenty years, Dr. Amrita served as director of stress management for Dr. Dean Ornish’s research using Yoga and lifestyle changes to reverse heart disease and cancer. She now practices integrative medicine at Yogaville and is the co-author of the book, Surgery and its Alternatives, and helped to write the books Dr. Yoga and After Cancer Care.
Join Dr. Amrita on four Thursdays in June for talks on the health benefits of Yoga:
- June 4: Health Benefits of Yoga
- June 11: Food and Yogic Diet
- June 18: Fasting and Detox
- June 25: Laughter Yoga and the Immune System
Each Live session will begin at 2 pm (EDT) of which 45 minutes will be on the weekly topic, followed by 15 minutes of any questions from participants.

Dr. McLanahan is a graduate with high honors of Swarthmore College, and she has an M.D. from Wayne University and a family practice specialty from the University of Massachusetts. For twenty years, she served as director of stress management for Dr. Dean Ornish’s research, using Yoga and lifestyle changes to reverse heart disease and cancer.
