Kid’s Yoga Program – October

Bring your children with you this weekend!
This is a childcare program for guests who come to visit with children ages 5–11!
While you enjoy your program, you can feel confident that the kids will be well looked after by our experienced staff and entertained through a variety of fun activities. Arts and crafts, music, dance, drama, hiking, and games will keep them busy and laughing throughout the weekend. In addition, they’ll learn about ashram life, Integral Yoga, and Sri Swami Satchidananda.
4 pm Registration
6 pm Connect with families and meet in Multi-Purpose Room of Sivananda Hall
6:30 Dinner (with parents until 7:30)
7:45 Opening Circle with introductions, Nitya Living Hatha class for kids, meditation, Yoga Nidra, chanting, read: My Heart, by Corinna Luyken, and discuss Bhakti Yoga and the Branches of Yoga
8 am Breakfast
9:45 Nitya Living Hatha class for kids, meditation, Yoga Nidra, chanting, read: Enlightened Tales, and discuss who Sri Swami Satchidananda is – coloring books
10:30 Activity: Listening walk through woods “What does autumn sound like, feel like, smell like?”
11:30 Free Time
12:45 Lunch (with parents until 2 pm)
Afternoon and Evening
2 pm Making instruments that sound like Fall: rainsticks and rattles with decoupage
2:40 Outside playtime with a snack
3:20 Yoga Nidra, meditation, self-inquiry – read: Listening with my Heart
3:50 Drive down to LOTUS for a tour and walk around the LOTUS Lake
5:30 Dinner (with parents until 7:30)
7:30 Satsang – Multi-Purpose Room for playing
8 pm Nitya will bring kids to listen to Jai Uttal. Will go to Multi-Purpose Room for Yoga Nidra and a Nitya Living Kids Class if kids get too restless
9 am Breakfast (with parents until 9:30)
9:45 Nitya Living Hatha class for kids, meditation, Yoga Nidra, chanting, and read: The Giving Tree
10:30 Feeling the music with emotion drawings – How does different music make us feel?
11 am Free Time
12 pm Karma Yoga and Closing Circle
12:45 Lunch (with parents)
