Meditation for an Active Mind

If you’ve tried meditation or mindfulness, you may have discovered that your mind suddenly became very active. You spent your time reorganizing your “to-do” list, daydreaming, or getting lost in negativity. Perhaps you thought, “I’m no good at meditation”. If you’ve wondered what to do about the obstacles in meditation, then join us for a refreshing look at uncovering peace of mind.

In this workshop you will:

  • Learn body-based meditations
  • Make friends with the breath
  • Develop the witness (mindfulness)

If you’ve tried meditation and haven’t found the right approach for you, or if you need a tune-up, come learn how to use simple, enjoyable techniques to calm and focus the mind. Peace of mind is deep within all of us; Meditation is the key.

Swami Vidyananda began practicing Yoga in 1969 and has been teaching Integral Yoga® and training Yoga teachers since 1973. She became a swami (monastic) in 1983. She has taught and trained Yoga and Stress Management teachers throughout the US and Canada, as well as Australia, Europe, and India. She presently lives at Satchidananda Ashram–Yogaville, VA, where she teaches all branches of Integral Yoga, including Hatha, Raja, and Jnana Yoga, meditation, and yogic lifestyle.
