Yoga Anatomy for Graceful Living: How to Remain Supple and Agile on Life’s Journey
with Aramati Akke Hulburt, E-RYT 500
April 28 - 30, 2017
Would you like to move with confidence and poise through your Yoga asana practice and other pastimes? By finding out how your body works, you can gracefully keep up with life’s activities.
This workshop will help you identify how to achieve greater freedom of mobility and stability in your joints, improve your muscular strength, and get in touch with a sense of optimal health and well-being.
In this program you will:
- Explore how muscles, bones, connective tissues, and the nervous system work in relation to your asana practice
- Assess the range of motion in your ankles, knees, hips, wrists, elbows, shoulders, and spine
- Engage your core through awareness of your anatomy
You’ll come away with a more thorough understanding of the human body and with tools to apply to your practice as a Yoga student or teacher.
Bring your children with you this weekend!
While you enjoy the program’s session, the kids will be introduced to Integral Yoga, Sri Swami Satchidananda, ashram life, study of nature, and our natural surroundings through art, crafts, music, dance, drama, hiking, games, and more.
3-Day Kid’s Program Fee: $108 per child

Please note: Children can only be housed with their parents within the Lotus Guest Houses or in a tent.
Akke has helped me develop both strength and flexibility—in my physical being and, surprisingly, in my intellectual, spiritual, and emotional life. Her teachings have supported me in important ways as I have moved through a variety of life transitions. I am a much more vibrant and resilient human being because of the work I have done with Akke. — Patty Raun
I have been a student of Akke for many years. She always explains muscle, joint, and body connection in her Yoga classes. To have a concentrated weekend devoted to this topic is a very special offering from an excellent teacher with a lifetime of experience. A workshop would be a great help for any age group but for me, a “senior”, it is exactly what I need. — Dorothy Domermuth
I have been a student of Akke’s for 25 years. During that time, she has helped me maintain my physical strength and flexibility through carefully selected movements and poses tailored to my individual needs. She has also helped me learn to maintain focus and a sense of inner peace through breathing, meditation, and her kind and gentle words. Akke’s deep understanding of yogic practices, her commitment to each student’s needs, and her calm and caring demeanor make her an outstanding teacher. I leave every class feeling renewed and refreshed. — Johnna Elliott
I am a physician who has had the privilege of learning from Akke for 10 years—and I pass on the many things she teaches me to my patients. My health and their health continue to benefit from her expertise. — Richard Shepherd
