New Year’s Silent Retreat

December 28, 2022 - January 1, 2023

Reflect deeply, renew your inspiration, and restore yourself in the sanctuary and solace of the Integral Yoga community during the annual New Year’s Silent Retreat.

Satchidananda Ashram–Yogaville is a perfect setting for an inner journey. Integral Yoga Silent Retreats take place in a serene oasis nestled near the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. This restorative environment nurtures your connection with inner stillness.

Take time to step back from the demands of daily life and reconnect with your inner peace. Through the practices of mouna (silence) and Yoga in a tranquil environment, you will become reacquainted with your true nature of peace and joy.

Join like-minded seekers for a time of self-discovery. The benefits of silence continue long after the retreat ends—you’ll go forward with tools you can use to enjoy a more peaceful, useful, and happy life.

If you would like to participate in the New Year’s Silent Retreat but cannot attend this program in person, you may register for the New Year’s Silent Retreat – Online.

In-person participants will have access to the Online Retreat video recordings for 8 weeks after the program ends, until February 26, 2023. Lifetime access to the online recordings is available for a $25 fee.

What to Expect

Since 1970, Integral Yoga Silent Retreats have provided the serenity everyone needs from time to time. Surrounded by a peaceful woodland landscape, you will immerse yourself in silence while teachers offer experiential classes in:

  • Yoga philosophy
  • Meditation
  • Breathing techniques
  • Yoga postures
  • Deep relaxation

During the retreat, you will have the opportunity to seek support and clarification by asking questions in written form.
Private mentoring is also available.

All Are Welcome

These retreats are open to everyone, from beginners to advanced Yoga retreatants. Those who are new to meditation or Yoga practices will receive full instruction, while those with experience will have the opportunity to deepen their practice.

I needed to reset physically, mentally, and spiritually. I needed my world just to stop so I could rest and regain inspiration and well-being. I received what I sought! A beautiful experience of silence and support. I have never felt so optimistic about a new year! Each of the Yogaville staff is a gift to each of us, retreatants. Thank you. — Sheila Sheppard

Disconnect from the everyday life stuff and experience yourself over and over. A beautiful, peaceful and simple place to call home for a couple of days. — Yvonne Kelly

Beautiful and restorative experience. I was able to reset, rest and access an important part of myself. I feel deeply nourished and ready to reintegrate back into my homelife. — Claire Pallandre

I came here to reconnect, renew, and refocus on the light. It was a perfect break from noisy life yet left me with simple practices to put into place when I leave the ashram. — Sarah Myers
