with Durga Leela, E-RYT 500
Explore a loving approach to recovery that integrates the most effective approaches of the East and the West.
In this recovery program with Durga Leela, you will:
- Learn and practice physical methods for healing from addiction
- Understand and feel the benefits of a yogic diet, the daily practice of Yoga asanas (physical exercises suitable for all levels), pranayama (breathing exercises), and conscious relaxation
- Explore, from many perspectives, the root causes of addiction and ways to heal, including healing the physical body, strengthening the mind, and cultivating sattva (a peaceful state of being)
- Look deeper into aspects of healing through Ayurveda, which helps to deeply purify the body and mind
This retreat offers a comprehensive program that integrates Ayurveda and Yoga with recovery tools and 12-Step principles for a holistic mind, body, and spirit approach for people affected by addiction and self-destructive behaviors, or for people who have family members with histories of addiction.
All age group and addictive/self-destructive tendencies are addressed.
Prerequisites: We suggest at least three months of continuous sobriety for alcohol/chemically dependent guests, as we are not a medical/detox facility, so if this is the level of care you need please seek appropriate help. Please contact us if you feel able to attend in your early sobriety — we’d like to ensure the retreat is the best option for you. Those with eating disorders or behavioral addictions (relationships, gambling, spending, etc.) should have enough stability to embark on this work.
Private Ayurvedic consultations and body treatments will also be available (additional fee and pre-booking required).
I did it last year, got a lot out of it, and wanted to both rekindle the experience and deepen my opinion. — Michael Gluck
This was a much needed and wanted retreat. Incredible insight. A weaving of various traditions. Loved it! — Maryellen T.
