Greetings of Peace from Yogaville!
Thank you for your interest in our Integral Yoga Pranayama TT. For more than forty years, students from all over the world have come to participate in our residential training programs. This letter contains the program’s curriculum and daily schedule, as well as information about accommodations and an application form.
If you have any questions or need more information after reading this material, feel free to contact us.
In Pranayama Teacher Training, you will explore the yogic science of the breath. Breath is the link between the body and the mind; by regulating the breath, you can energize, strengthen, detoxify, and relax the body. There are methods to calm, balance, and focus the mind, and pranayama is the best preparation for meditation, as well as an effective way to deal with stress. Through regular practice, the dormant subtle energy within is released, leading to spiritual awakening.
In this program, you will:
- Learn how to refine, deepen, and develop your own practice and how to teach others to do the same
- Examine, in depth, pranayama theory and the various techniques, including: Deergha Swaasam (3-part deep breath); Naadi Suddhi and Sukha Purvaka (alternate nostril breaths); Kapaalabhaati and Bastrika (rapid breaths); Sitali and Sitkaari (cooling breaths); Brahmari (humming breath); and Ujjayi (hissing breath)
- Learn how to perform the various bandhas (locks) and how to incorporate them into your practice
What Makes Integral Yoga Unique?
Integral Yoga is a complete science that cultivates and maintains the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health of the individual. The non-competitive approach and meditative exploration of the Integral Yoga practices create an indrawn awareness that allows each student to reconnect with deeper and more subtle aspects of being.
Our comprehensive certification programs provide a strong foundation for personal and spiritual development, an appreciation for nurturing a personal practice, and the skills to become a knowledgeable and professional Yoga teacher. The Integral Yoga training process fosters the teacher’s sensitivities to help them create a safe environment for their students, an environment that allows students to realize their potential, enhance their self-respect, and learn to be of greater service to others.
Why A Residential Program?
The most effective teaching comes from direct experience. Our residential programs are designed to offer you the experience of living the teachings of Yoga and to provide the necessary tools that will enable you to pass these great teachings on to others.
During your stay, you will immerse yourself in the yogic lifestyle and transform your body, mind, and spirit. Our residential programs offer a supportive and nurturing environment for practice and study away from the distractions of everyday life.
The program begins on June 12, 2017, starting with registration at 2 pm and programming at 4 pm and ending on Thursday June 15, 2017, at 3 pm.
The daily schedule is very full; it is designed to help you fully realize the benefits of the Yoga practices and to provide the optimum environment for studying and learning. Each day begins with meditation at 6 am, followed by a Hatha Yoga class. During the day, you will have training courses, workshops, practice sessions, a noon meditation at the beautiful Light Of Truth Universal Shrine (LOTUS), and some free time. This schedule covers six days and five nights a week. You are expected to stay at the Ashram during the entire time to successfully complete the program.
The curriculum includes the following:
- Pranayama Theory and Techniques

These ancient, classical teachings are a proven, potent support to help us deal with modern challenges. If we know how to breathe properly, the quality of our life will be enhanced. Awareness and regulation of the breath can help us to move through life more easefully, peacefully, skillfully, and joyfully.
