Celebrating the life and teachings of Sri Swami Satchidananda
and the Light of All Faiths.
Guru Poornima is a holiday in the Hindu tradition celebrated on the July full moon to honor one’s guru. In Integral Yoga we celebrate the life and teachings of our guru Sri Swami Satchidanandaji Maharaj, Sri Gurudev. With the Ashram closed due to the pandemic, our Guru Poornima celebration this year is adapted as a primarily online program. At Satchidananda Ashram–Yogaville, we have special pujas (worship services-not online) offered to Sri Gurudev. As a pioneer in the interfaith movement, Sri Gurudev encouraged us to honor the great saints and faiths during Guru Poornima. As a part of the celebration, we include a Light of Truth Universal Service.
