Yoga and the Subtle Bodies: Working Through the Koshas
with Swami Vidyananda, E-RYT 500, C-IAYT
August 25 - 27, 2017
The more we practice Yoga, the more we feel the power to face the challenges of life. Yoga doesn’t promise to change the world around us. Yoga can help us change our reactions, perceptions, and attachment to wanting life to be different. It can help us be healthy and happy in the present moment.
This workshop will focus on mind-body wellness by working through the koshas. By understanding these subtle bodies, also known as the physical, energetic, emotional, intelligence, and bliss layers of the self, you can use them as a practical and profound tool to design a deeper Yoga practice.
You’ll work through the koshas with postures, breath-work, and perennial Yoga wisdom (Raja Yoga). You’ll explore the psychological impact of various postures and inner attitudes to help us overcome obsessions and addictions, and find the will to be healthy.
You’ll practice:
- Working through the mind to heal the body
- Working through the body to heal the emotions and mind
- Grounding meditation in the body and breath
- Relaxation as a path to wellness
Our goal is a life of joy and balance. Yoga can show the way.
