Yoga Alliance: 200 hours upon successful completion.
The summer is a wonderful time to come to Yogaville to take the Basic Hatha Yoga teacher training. Every day you awaken for morning meditation with the mocking birds heralding the rising sun. The fresh country air and refreshing summer mornings lend themselves to becoming established in meditation and a morning hatha yoga practice. Classes are held on the second floor of the Integral Yoga Academy building with views of the Ashram campus on one side and wooded landscape on the other. After the morning classes you can opt to walk down through the woods to the LOTUS (Light of Truth Universal Shrine) for noon meditation or leisurely ride down in the van. On the 15-minute walk down to LOTUS it is common to encounter deer grazing with their little spotted fawns close at hand or flocks of wild turkeys passing over the trail. Once at the LOTUS you meditate in the silent upper chamber or join those who prefer a walking meditation. For lunch and dinner you enjoy newly picked organic vegetables from our garden cooked into tasty dishes by our kitchen. The long warm summer days add energy to the program. By the end of the evening class the last rays of the sun have turned into a quickly fading glow on the horizon as the moon rises and the crickets and whippoorwills begin their nightly serenades.
