Yoga Alliance: 200 hours upon successful completion.
Our Fall Basic Hatha Yoga Teacher Trainings is held at one of the most beautiful times of year at Yogaville. Nestled in the rolling foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Ashram is surrounded by a deciduous forest filled with different types of trees: oaks, maples, hickories, poplars, sweet gums and many more. When the new teacher trainees arrive the leaves of these trees have already begun to change from green to vibrant shades of red, orange and yellow. By the second week of the training the dazzling colors are at their height. During the third and fourth week of the training, the leaves continue to change into the equally beautiful hues of amber, rust, purple and auburn. This natural progression of fall colors reflects the inner transformation of all who come to take this 200-hour certification program. Students begin living a yogic lifestyle and integrating what they’ve learned into their daily lives. With each day they become more and more grounded in their understanding the different dimension of yogic theory and practice. By the end of the training they will have acquired the skills, knowledge and confidence to begin their new roles as yoga teachers.
Our comprehensive yoga teacher certification program provides a strong foundation for personal and spiritual development, an appreciation for nurturing one’s own practice and the skills to become a knowledgeable and professional Yoga teacher. “The residential Teacher Training course is a direct gift from Sri Gurudev, Swami Satchidananda. He always said that one should become a Yogi first. It is the most profound program offered at Yogaville, because people come and live the Yogic lifestyle and their lives are transformed. It is very powerful and I love to be a part of it.” Satya Greenstone
