Aging can be a wonderful experience of growth. We have more wisdom from our life experience. We’ve had enough bumps to develop our equanimity. As our roles change and our health is challenged, we are impelled to re-assess our life.
Our culture gives little support to the search for meaning in the third phase of life.
But the great wisdom traditions have much to offer to help us:
• Grow happier through the changes of body, mind and job
• Clarify our purpose
• Simplify our material needs and possessions
• Explore our spiritual self that transcends all material concerns
This workshop will approach aging from the insights of multiple wisdom traditions. The yoga classes and practices will teach you how to adapt or begin a practice that supports optimal health whatever your current abilities are. The meditations will be simple and enjoyable. All of the activities will help you discover mentally satisfying and spiritually uplifting pursuits you can carry into your daily life.
