or what adjustments to make to fully express your asana.

The good news is that there are specific, yet easy-to-apply alignment principles that can increase the prana and reduce the trauma. This workshop will introduce the fundamental principles of alignment that form the underlying design for every asana. When alignment is applied to asana practice, it transforms it into a safe and therapeutic experience. Pain and injury become, not limitations but the “teachers” that direct us toward a pain-free practice. In a fully, on-the-mat format, we explore the poses of the Integral Yoga asana series. Correct alignment will be presented and each student will be able to refine their poses, identifying when postures are in alignment and when they are not.

The basic anatomy used to establish correct alignment will be covered in an easy, understandable and applicable way. Attendees will return home with lots of practical information and be able to immediately utilize the new refinements in their asana practice. The workshop is open to all levels of practice. It is also well suited for teachers with lots of valuable information to bring to their own students. Greater knowledge brings greater joy and satisfaction from our yoga practice.
