Yogaville's Lotus Conference Center is located on 750 acres of tranquil countryside in Central Virginia, at Satchidananda Ashram-Yogaville. Sitting high atop an overlook the Center offers magnificent views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the James River.

Lotus Conference CenterThe Lotus Conference Center provides accommodations for twenty two people in private, semi-private, and dormitory-style rooms. Larger groups can arrange for additional space in other Yogaville facilities located on the property. All the rooms are comfortable and modern, some with private baths. The Center is available for private retreats and workshops, church meetings, and family celebrations (including graduations, engagements, weddings, baby blessings, anniversaries and family reunions).

Sunset from the Lotus Conference CenterMeals are vegetarian and can be enjoyed in the dining room of the ashram, along with Yogaville residents and guests. The Lotus Conference Center also has a well-outfitted modern kitchen. Groups are welcome to hire their own chef; but, any food prepared and served at the Center should meet the requirements of no meat, fish, eggs or alcohol.

Among the features, facilities, and programs available to Lotus Conference Center participants:

  • Meeting room - fully carpeted, with many windows with a beautiful view of the James River valley and Blue Ridge Mountains
  • Living room with comfortable seating and tv/vcr
  • Visits to the Light Of Truth Universal Shrine (LOTUS)
  • Saturday night programs (satsang) at Sivananda Hall with kirtan (chanting), special guest speakers and video of H.H. Sri Swami Satchidananda
  • Bookstore, library, gift shop and snack shop
  • Swimming in a 16-acre stream-fed lake located on the property
  • Scenic walking trails
  • Massage and other body work, by appointment (offered by independent local community practitioners)
  • Hot tub outdoors and sauna
  • Laundry room
Local attractions include Monticello, home of President Thomas Jefferson, Ashland-Highlands home of President James Monroe, historic Appomattox, Virginia's natural wonder - Natural Bridge, James River Runners (canoeing, rafting, kayaking, and tubing on the James River), and local restaurants are 20-30 minutes away.

The Lotus Conference Center is located one hour's drive from Charlottesville, VA. Driving time from Washington, DC is approximately 3 hours. the Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport (CHO), approximately a one hour drive, is served by major airlines and Richmond International Airport (RIC) is further away and is approximately a 21/2 hour drive.

In making your travel arrangements, public transportation from your area into Charlottesville is available via Amtrak, Greyhound Bus, or the following airlines: US Air, United Express (United Airlines), American Eagle (American Airline) and Comair (Delta).
