The Integral Yoga Academy
![]() The IY Academy is a new facility for the sole purpose of conducting our ever-increasing Teacher Trainings and Yogaville Programs. It is a two story building located next to Guru Bhavan, Ashram's main meditation hall. We will now be able to better serve those coming to the Ashram to learn the teachings of Integral Yoga. The large, upper classroom, named Samadhi, is about 2400 square feet and can seat around 300 people for programs and around 75 students for hatha classes. It has a cathedral ceiling, and the large windows on both sides allow the light to stream into the entire room, creating the sense of open spaciousness. The soft and warm yellow color of the ceiling and the walls welcome those who enter the classroom with the vibration of gentleness and peace. ![]() The smaller ground floor classroom, named Jyothi, is about 900 square feet and can seat up to 125 people for programs and up to 25 students for hatha class. Also located on the ground floor are administration office and a lounge for the students with two computer stations. The offices of Integral Yoga Academy are located on the lower level. One large office functions as the nerve center for all the activities of Integral Yoga Teacher's Trainings and the Integral Yoga Teacher's Association. Ram Vignola is currently the director of the Academy and shares the office with other staff members. Next to it is a large office/work space for the administrative assistants and Teacher Training staff. There is another smaller office for the use of the head teachers who conduct various trainings throughout the year. There are two phone booths located on this floor. Along the west side of the building right outside of the lounge, is 800 square foot deck where the students can enjoy reading or simply sitting outdoors between the classes. |
